Congruent or Not Congruent?
Congruent……what a strange word! All it means is that objects are the same size and same shape. Try your hand at finding the shape that is NOT congruent with all the others in the Spaceman Game below. Click on the picture and then find the ONE spaceman that is different from the others. That one is NOT congruent with the others.
If you are successful in all 15 levels, the spaceman will return to earth. Good luck!
Try the other math games on Toy Theater to help you practice other math skills.
Polygon or NOT a Polygon?
Have you ever experienced the interaction of a ThingLink? Well, below you will find an interactive creation that allows students to click on “touches”, or icons, on the image and be linked to text, media, and even other websites. Drag your cursor around and learn how to identify polygons.

Finding Area of Irregular Shapes
The History of Thanksgiving Day
Our families all celebrate in different ways. My family gathers at the deer camp for hunting, eating, and sharing stories. We love being together in the woods much like the Pilgrims. Some families travel in order to gather with family members. Others take advantage of the Thanksgiving Holidays to begin a shopping tradition. How do you celebrate Thanksgiving Day?
Watch the video and then take the quiz!
Thanksgiving and Symbaloo
If you do not have a Symbaloo account, you should really sign up for a free account today. We have added this Thanksgiving Fun webmix to our Symbaloo. Students may visit any of these approved sites to learn more about this National holiday or just have some fun with Thanksgiving-themed games.
We hope that you enjoy these posts.
New Way to Practice Spelling Words
We are always looking for an engaging way for students to practice their spelling words or vocabulary in Math, Science, Social Studies, or ELA. I suggest that you give Typatone a try. On the Typatone website, just type in your words (or definitions/anything really), and once you are finished, the “bouncing” marker will play music as the word is spelled letter-by-letter. Typatone also offers a 99¢ app. Below are the fourth grade spelling words for this week. Just “listen” to these words.
Math Game Time by Grade Level
This week on Scoop. It!, I was searching for Online Math Games that would help students practice some of their skills. Math Game Time was one of the first sites that I saved to my own Scoop.it board. It is appropriate for all grades from PreK-7th because the teacher can select first the grade level and then the skill. There are an array of games to engage students at all levels. I hope that you find it helpful for your classroom.
