Celebrating Abraham Lincoln

abraham_lincoln1

This year we will celebrate the 200th year since the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Our study will include math lessons, interactive online Moodle lessons, literature, history, Podcasting, and even a Science experiment. Our class has also been invited to participate in another online Project by Jen with schools from all over the United States. On Lincoln’s birthday, February 12th, around 9:30 that morning, we will log into Skype and listen with other schools to a reading of the Gettysburg Address.

But for today, I would like for you to visit Mrs. Wellman’s Class in Spring Hill, Kansas, and click on the wonderful pictures that her students drew. Read about President Abraham Lincoln, and then write one comment.

VISITORS TO OUR SITE ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO THE SAME.  PERHAPS YOU TOO WILL LEARN SOMETHING NEW TODAY.

  1. Hello from Liberty, Missouri. I love to learn about Lincoln and one of my favorite things about Lincoln is that he was the first president to really use the telegraph. He even had a telegraph office put in the White House!

Have a great time learning about Lincoln and good luck with your blog. It looks great.
